Providing comfortable lodgings within Amsterdam’s Jordaan district, the authentic one bedroom Noorderkerk Deluxe Apartment accommodates up to 4 guests.
Set upon the top floor of a typical 17th century Amsterdam house, this apartment effortlessly blends the past with the present day. Split over two floors, the apartment’s modern décor mixed with features such as exposed ceiling beams and rich wooden floors create a stylish yet traditional atmosphere. Framed by two huge windows which allow an abundance of natural light to fill the spacious area, the living room consists of two comfy sofas, a coffee table and a flatscreen television. The colourful blue units highlight the substantial kitchen, which is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal. A charming dining table is also at your disposal, offering the perfect setting for an evening meal.
A quirky staircase leads you to the upper floor where the bedroom and bathroom can be found. Set within the slopes of the roof and containing a welcoming double bed, the bedroom provides the ideal place in which to relax and unwind following a hectic day. The refreshing bathroom is fitted with a toilet, sink, bathtub and shower cubicle. An attractive roof terrace, boasting beautiful views of the nearby Noorderkerk, naturally completes this authentic abode.
- Please note that access to this apartment is via a steep staircase and therefore it may not be suitable for those with mobility problems.
- On the top floor you will find an open space, featuring traditional slanted ceilings with exposed beams, a double bed and another double bed in an alcove. Please note that there are no doors, therefore privacy is limited. The bathroom contains a bath, shower, washbasin and toilet.
Conveniently situated within close proximity to a number of shops, cafes and restaurants, this apartment is just a short walk away from Amsterdam’s main transport hub – Centraal Station. Offering links throughout the rest of the city and beyond, Centraal station is visited by around 250,000 passengers each and every day and is where the city’s Tourist Information Office can be found.
The apartment itself is located within the sought after Jordaan district, an area renowned for its stylish shops and fine dining restaurants. The stunning Noorderkerk (North Church) is literally minutes away and boasts some striking examples of stunning architecture. Designed in the 1600s by architect Hendrick de Keyser, the Noorderkerk was built to serve the ever increasing population of the Jordaan area in addition to the already established Westerkerk (West Church) located nearby.
Also close by, and an attraction not to be missed, is one of Amsterdam’s most visited sights – the Anne Frank House Museum. During the Second World War, Anne Frank and her Jewish family concealed themselves within a secret annex inside the house and it is here that she wrote her world famous diary. Today the house serves as a museum and allows visitors the opportunity to explore this fascinating abode.
Positives: Excellent location in a lively neighborhood, within walking distance to the Centrum in Amsterdam. Overall clean apartment, the owner hired cleaning staff to do the work. The apartment looks a bit older and smaller than the picture depicted but it wasn't a huge problem for us. Bonus: I have to give the owner a big plus for letting us stay for another half day free of charge! Improvement: Steep and shadow staircase even for youngsters could be a challenge as two of us had bruises just walking up/down.. Only one bathroom and shower in the entire apartment, and the stall is positioned relatively higher than in the States. Also, there was mouse in the house, and one night our food was eaten. Owner does impose a 3% extra credit card charge for payment on premise (this is in addition to your typical foreign exchange charge) that was a bit disappointing. - JLJINXIU - Date: 16:48 23-06-2018 Source: Shortstay-Apartment.com
The apartment in the Jordaan was just perfect for us. The owner was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us - she'd made a book with all the local information - where to eat, shop etc - that was in the apartment when we arrived. The apartment was extremely comfortable and a lovely place to return to after a busy day's sight-seeing!Jane - Date: 11:10 10-02-2014 Source: AmsterdamApartments.com

The location of the apartment is great. However it is a bit noisy at night because there are 3 Pubs right next to the apartment. A big supermarket is about 400m away.Margit - Date: 15:08 17-05-2012 Source: AmsterdamApartments.com

Short Stay Apartments provide the perfect accommodation solution when travelling with children. It was wonderful to have the space of an apartment instead of being crammed into a hotel room.Jane - Date: 15:15 24-04-2012 Source: ShortstayApartmentsAmsterdam.com
