Conveniently situated alongside the sought after Jordaan area, this apartment is within close proximity to a number of cafes, restaurants and shops. The city centre itself is just a short walk away, or if you prefer you can take the bus or tram from the nearby Marnixplein stop.
The stylish Jordaan district is literally across the street and is renowned for its exquisite boutiques, and high class dining establishments. The area is also home to several of Amsterdam’s must see sights, such as the stunning churches the Noorderkerk and the Westerkerk. Built in the 1600s they both display some striking examples of impressive architecture. The Jordaan also boasts one of the city’s most visited attractions, the famous Anne Frank House. Originally occupied by the Jewish Frank family during the Second World War, the house now serves as a museum allowing visitors to explore the secret annex in which the family hid themselves from the Nazis.
To the north of the apartment, offering a relaxing contrast to the bustling delights of the vibrant city centre, is the idyllic Westerpark. The original section of the park dates back to the late 1800s, whilst the newer section, which was formerly the site of a gas factory, opened in 2003. Within the picturesque park you will find a beautiful lake and an abundance of green open spaces, as well as a cinema and theatre.
